MANPOWER

paramediico supplied 41 staff 36 medical and 4 support staff.

(Brought in one extra staff member for the car park first aid post)

Most staff is regular staffs that work for paramediico; we had extra cost to bring in one extra staff member to assist with the 3rd First aid post on camp site to keep our cover within the other areas as well as attending incidents in Arena area several times.

We are fortunate that we had many health care professionals from hospital Accident Departments  including a physiotherapist who is a first aider whose Physio skills was extremely useful as we had 71 sprains strains  and soft tissue injuries also NHS Ambulance service staff on Annual leave or days off.

paramediico Camping area

This was not as good as other years due to movement to lower field where water and mud ran through our kitchen and seating area for briefing and meals.

We had 4 tents destroyed by the weather and staff on days had very poor sleep due to weather and conditions.

Our Night staff stayed in caravans off site but failed to reach site on first night till midnight which meant day staff had longer shifts.

FIRST AID POSTS

The first aid post was good size and the dividers was excellent made for easy access and treatment.

Ambulances & Quad Bike

We had several problems with ambulances and had brought along extra ambulance which was used at extra First Aid post and during busy periods.

The 4×4 ambulance was exceptional and without this ambulance would not have been able to move patients in deep muddy fields or respond to calls.

The Road Ambulances could met the 4×4 ambulance at several different areas where there was solid hard surface, so 4×4 ambulance became avalible for responding and transportation in field areas.

The Quad bike was our best and quickest method to respond to Emergency calls and I hope to have a 2nd Quad to our fleet next year.

CONTROL CENTRE

Our control was able to deal with all calls that came from Security or ELT and we had purchased another 6 radios which made a great deference.

ELT and SAG

Unfortunately due to problems on site did not attend many of meetings due to when making my way to meetings sometimes the road was blocked by mud conditions or crowds very thick, waiting for the main arena to open.

The ELT and SAG worked very hard to deal with the terrible conditions due to the weather conditions.
